The Consumer Expenditure Surveys (CE) program collects expenditure, demographic, and income data from families households. CE held its annual Survey Methods Symposium Microdata Users’ Workshop July 21 to 24, 2020, address CE-related topics in survey methods research, provide free training the structure uses of microdata, explore possibilities for collaboration. Economists program, staff other U.S. Bureau Labor Statistics offices, research experts a variety fields—including academia, government, private industry—gathered virtually better ways collect learn how use microdata once they are produced. experience was unique presenters attendees alike that this first time either event online, whole or part.
